Like most people, I first came to yoga for the physical benefits of asana but quickly found that the practice was changing me in ways far beyond just the physical body. The sense of awareness and peace I found through yoga began to permeate through my entire life… which (spoiler alert!) is kind of the idea!

My teaching style reflects how my own personal practice has evolved. I’ve learned to use both active and passive postures to create a space for my students to engage in a mindfulness-based practice, to allow time and space for the breath and for the full expression of each pose, and to help each student cultivate awareness in the present moment.
